All new TIC participants are required to attend a PA TIC workshop.
The workshop provides teachers and program partners alike an opportunity to interact with each other, learn how to use the equipment properly, get introduced to educational resources, and obtain new ideas. PA TIC Workshops occur each year in June/July and are FREE! If you are new to the PA TIC program or are a veteran in need of a refresher, please consider the workshop(s) below. All workshops integrate new resources and timelines related to the program's use (as of the 2019-2020 school year) of rainbow trout eggs. Made possible through a unique partnership between the Pennsylvania Council of Trout Unlimited (PATU) and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC), Pennsylvania Trout In the Classroom (PA TIC) is an interdisciplinary environmental education program in which students learn about current and past impacts, management, and protection and enhancement opportunities of Pennsylvania's coldwater resources, while raising trout in the classroom.
