PA TIC teachers and partners enjoy the sunshine after a workshop hosted by Stroud Water Research Center in June 2019.
​All new TIC participants are required to complete the online PA TIC training workshop in order to gain access to the upcoming PATIC school year TIC registration link. 

The link will be unlocked upon completion of the online workshop.
PATIC upcoming year registration must be completed by 8/30/26
 
Steps to complete your required PATIC workshop, get your PATIC registration link, and get your 5 hours of Act 48 Credits for completing the workshop.
1. CREATE a “log-in” for PA’s Clean Water Academy
  • Use the attached document to Create a “log-in” on Pennsylvania’s Clean Water Academy
2.  Once your log-in is created and approved (may take 3 business days for approval)
  • Go to Clean Water Academy
  • Go to top “RIGHT” and CLICK “Log In” and enter your credentials
3. Once logged in – GO TO – Find Learning
  • Scroll down to PA Trout In the Classroom (PATIC) – Mandatory Training Course for New PATIC Educators and CLICK on it
  • BOOKMARK this page so you can go back to it as needed
4. Once on the PATIC workshop page
  • CLICK on “Required PATIC Workshop”
  • Take the workshop
  • REMINDER – at the end of the workshop you must hit the “EXIT COURSE” in the top right corner
5.  Upon workshop completion
  • GO TO – Next Steps: PATIC Registration and Act 48 hours
  • Click on all the steps to “UNLOCK” links to the “PATIC 2026-27 Registration link” AND to access the “Act 48 Hr document”.
  • Complete the 2026-27 PATIC registration – this is your application for eggs and to enroll you in the upcoming PATIC school year. Registration must be completed by 8/30/26
  • Act 48 Credit document – This form provides Wildlife Leadership Academy with the appropriate documentation to get your 5 Act 48 credits.
  • NOTE – Please have your teacher ID number in order to complete the Act 48 Credit form

  • PFBC R3 grant awarded to PATU for their PATIC grant program
  • PATU awarded a PATIC mini grant to Wildlife Leadership Academy for the development of PATIC’s first, on-demand, PATIC workshop

  • Wildlife Leadership Academy’s dedicated and talented staff
  • Asbury Woods, DEP, PFBC assist with review as needed
Act 48 hours:
  • Provided through Wildlife Leadership Academy

Made possible through a unique partnership between the Pennsylvania Council of Trout Unlimited (PATU) and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC), Pennsylvania Trout In the Classroom (PA TIC) is an interdisciplinary environmental education program in which students learn about current and past impacts, management, and protection and enhancement opportunities of Pennsylvania's coldwater resources, while raising trout in the classroom. ​
