PATU Grants


2020/2021 TIC Existing Program Grants

Funding is available to applicants with active TIC programs. Schools and partner organizations are eligible to apply.

  • Please review this GRANT INFORMATION SHEET before completing the GRANT APPLICATION. Contact Rachel Kester (c-rkester@pa.gov) with any questions.
  • Existing Program grants provide existing TIC programs with up to $500 for specific replacement aquarium equipment and field trips.
  • Mail grant application to: PA Trout Unlimited, P.O. Box 5148, Bellefonte, PA 16823
  • APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED OR POSTMARKED BY APRIL 3, 2020 OR THEY WILL NOT BE REVIEWED.

 Financial Report (Excel File) should be submitted after granted funds have been spent. 

The Trout in the Classroom grant program is made possible through funding from the  Pennsylvania Council of Trout Unlimited.

Important Dates: 

April 3, 2020 - Grant applications due
Late April -
Grant awards announced, assurance contracts mailed
May 22, 2020 -
Signed assurance contracts must be returned to PATU
June 30, 2020 - Deadline to register for TIC program
June 23 & 24, 2020 - TIC teacher workshops (see below for more information)
September 2020 - Grantees receive funds/equipment for the 2020/2021 school year

TIC Teacher Workshops
To be eligible for Existing Program funds, teachers must have completed a TIC Teacher Workshop in the past or agree to attend one of the upcoming workshops. Teachers need to attend only ONE of the dates.  ALL workshops are FREE!
