All new TIC participants are required to attend a PA TIC workshop. The workshop provides teachers and program partners an opportunity to interact with each other, learn how to use the equipment properly, get introduced to educational resources, and obtain new ideas.
The next PA Trout in the Classroom workshop is:
When: June 22, 2012
June 22, 2012
Where: PA Fish and Boat Commission Stackhouse in Bellefonte, PA.
Teachers will be eligible for Act 48 hours.
For more information please contact Amidea Daniel at adaniel@pa.gov.
PA TIC will also be offering a "Lessons Learned and Shared" Meeting:
This is a great opportunity for creative and enthusiastic Trout In the Classroom teachers to share unique lessons they have developed for TIC, as well as, release day ideas and “lessons learned” experiences. Up until now, TIC teachers in Pennsylvania have not had a formal opportunity to get together to “meet, greet and share”. An introduction to Watershed Education will also be presented by DCNR.
You have requested networking opportunities in TIC end of year reports over the last year or two and now we are providing with your first chance to meet and share with other experienced TIC teachers.
**The TIC lessons developed by teachers and shared at this event will be posted on the PA TIC website, recognizing the teacher and school who created the lesson. Ideas and troubleshooting remedies will be added to the TIC curriculum updates in the fall of 2012.**
